BY LEVEL
Any month works, but April to October is the most comfortable: smaller waves, warmer water and gentle beach breaks like Anza, Devil’s Rock and Crocodile Beach. In winter we simply choose the most sheltered beaches.
September to April gives you the most variety: fun points like Panoramas and Hash Point, plus beach breaks on bigger days.
November to February is the time for Anchor Point, Killer Point and Boilers, when long-period swells can produce long, powerful right-handers.

Yes, with the right coaching. We surf every day and choose sheltered beaches with smaller waves for beginners, even when the points are big.
