Anza is a small fishing village about 10 km north of Agadir. It sits right between the city and the famous surf villages of Tamraght and Taghazout – close to everything, but still very much a real Moroccan village.
Authentic, not touristy
In Anza you shop at the local market, drink mint tea with neighbours and buy fish straight from the boats in the harbour. Guests often tell us this is exactly what they missed in busier surf towns: you are treated like a local friend, not just a visitor.
More space on the beach and in the water
The beach at Anza is long, wide and calm. On most days you share the sand with local families and fishermen, not with hundreds of surf-school students – and our coaches choose each day the spot where you get the most waves.
Better value for money
Accommodation, food and daily life cost less in Anza than in Taghazout. At Waves Hunter Surf House, dorm beds start from €12 and private rooms from €24 per night with breakfast included – see our rooms and dorms.
Sunsets, history and the city next door
Anza faces west, so every evening ends with a sunset over the Atlantic – best enjoyed from our sea-view rooftop. The beach is also known for its dinosaur footprints preserved in the rocks, and Agadir, with its souk, restaurants and seafront, is only 15 minutes away.
