GENERAL

If you have a passport form the EU or UK you don´t need a visa for touristic purposes. Your passpord must be valid for the duration of your stay and you can stay in Morocco until 3 months.

The moroccan currency is the Dirham. Exchange rates at the last time of checking were around 12Dh to the £1, 10Dh to the €, and 8Dh to the $. You van exchange money directly at the airport or in Agadir. There are no exchange facilities in Anza. The closest ATM is 10 minutes’ walk from the hostel.

Agadir is an all-year-round destination for perfect weather with over 300 days of sunshine per year.

In the summer months (May- September) there is small to medium swells, perfect time to have a lot of fun in the water. The winter Months are famous for its variety of world class waves. There is something for everyone, from ideal beginner waves to challenging reef ledges.

There are many cafes, some few restaurants and a small market, where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also pharmacies and small shops for groceries.

Morocco is a liberal Islamic country, but still has its local customs and traditions. It is better to show respect to the locals and don´t walk in bathing clothes around the village except from the beach. For women, simply covering your legs and midriffs around town is the most respectful. Don´t forget to bring also warm clothes for the evenings, as it can get quite chilly.

ACCOMMODATION

Waves Hunter Surf House is located 10 km north of Agadir in a village called Anza, 40 minutes from Agadir Al Massira international airport and just 15 min. by car from  the famous surfvillage of Taghazout.

Agadir is served by direct flights (2-3 hours) from the main major European airports. We can arrange you an airport- pick up, waiting for you at the airport.
You also have the option of taking a taxi from the airport to the surf house or public transportations.

You can arrive at any time and any day of the week, just let us know. Your room is normally not ready before 2 pm, but if you arrive early, just enjoy our terrace and put your bags at the reception. Checkout is at 10 am, but if you want to check out later, we will do our best to find a solution.

We have Hight Speed internet in our terraces, so the connection is good. You can also buy a cheap Moroccan SIM card and charge it with some money to be flexible.

FOOD/DRINKS

Breakfast is included in all our packages. If you book a surf package, you will also get dinner in the surfhouse. The Moroccan cuisine is famous for its tasty and healthy food. Our cook is preparing a mixture out of Moroccan and European food, so everyone will find something for their taste.

Yes! Our breakfast is vegetarian and we can provide vegan options if requested. For dinner, the food is most of the time vegetarian and if not we offer many vegetarian options.

Yes. As our breakfast and dinner is included, our cook will be busy most of the time with preparing the meals. However you can check after the meals if the kitchen is free and ask if you may use it.

We recommend to not drink the tap water in Morocco at all as it can cause you stomach problems.

ACTIVITIES/SURFING

Unfortunately, we don´t take bookings until you arrive. We do require a minimum of 3 people, but if there is limited interest we can organize you a private tour.

Yes, just let us know one day before. We will make sure that you have a place in the surf group.

Coaching sessions are 2h long and take normally place in the morning after breakfast. However, the starting time remains at the discretion of the coach, that can modify it depending on the conditions of the day. You can rent surfboards for your entire stay. We offer flexible rental options, including the ability to keep your board until after noon for a free session.
